What is your company culture like?
Updated: Aug 30, 2018
How many people do you know that like going to work?
I’m going to put my hand up and say that I LOVE getting up in the morning and going to work. I have found my perfect niche and I will never work another day of my life… but it wasn’t always like that.
A positive company culture is such an important aspect within any organisation. You need your staff to feel engaged, supported and respected from the ground up. Listed below are some ideas that you may be able to introduce to make small changes.
- Having an open door policy and taking the time to actually listen to your staff and what they believe to be needed. Whether this is in a team meeting or just one on one, it will make them feel validated and appreciated.
- Continual staff training. Challenge them, nurture them, teach them new skills to advance them as a person and within their careers.
- Be Transparent. Communication is key. Make sure your team is either involved or informed of important company decisions.
- Rewarding your staff for a job well done. Credit where credit is due and it can be as simple as acknowledging their hard work in a sales meeting. People remember how you make them feel.
